Pool Experience Manager oversees the day to day operations of the Main Resort Pool, Tranquility Pool, Saltwater Lagoon, Sunset Pool, the amenities surrounding the pools, and any administrative responsibilities related to the above.

Summary:
The Recreation Manager works closely with the Pool Experience Manager to realize the vision of the Resort Experience Director.
Recreation Manager oversees the day to day operations of Coral Cay Adventure Club, Camp Hawk, resort entertainment, on site activities, and any administrative responsibilities related to the above.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Hiring Requirements:
Manages the operation of the Resort Pools and Lagoon Landings including the Adult Pool Deck, Sports Deck, and all open deck spaces in accordance with department standard operating procedures manual.
Provides and monitors the Guest Services Standards on pool decks, and recreation areas including maintaining cleanliness, monitoring the Deck Chair and Towel programs, and monitoring venue music on the open decks.
Assigns duties, responsibilities, and workstations to crew members.
Observes and evaluates crew members in performance of duties and provides remedial training to correct deficiencies and ensure courteous service to guests.
Manages the financial aspects of the operation of the Pool Decks, Recreation Areas, and all open deck spaces, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies and revenue growth through promotional and up-selling activities.
Collaborates with the Director of Resort Experiences to coordinate all open deck entertainment events, including but not limited to Teen Night Out, Poolside Events & Activities, Bicycle and Golf Cart Rentals Recruit, hire, train (in coordination with HR Recruiter), schedule and evaluate Coral Cay and entertainment crew.
Constantly evaluate the existing program, making necessary changes and improvements.
Provide for diversity and safety of participants.
Increase attendance and awareness for activities by developing and displaying brochures, posters, showcases, etc.
Ensure communication with Reservations, Sales and Front Desk regarding rates and dates.
Accountable for ordering supplies and monitoring daily revenue and costs.
Process time cards on a weekly basis.
Adhere to budget.
Monitor, evaluate, and assist interns.
Perform other duties (administrative, budgetary, proposals, sales, etc.
) as directed by Resort Experience Director or company policy.
Provide a safe and fun environment for the guests by daily monitoring of the recreation attendants in regard to cleanliness and housekeeping of lobby, lounge, camp room, chairs, pool and pool deck, playground, and other outdoor play facilities.
Ensure entrance to pool area restricted to guests and club members with ample towel supply available.
Rainy Day activities:
Lead indoor activities during inclement weather or supervise recreation interns if on property.
Convention/Group Activities:
Assist in planning and leading Beach Olympics, Treasure Hunts, etc.
, for groups during their stay.
Concentrate on selling strategy/contract prior to groups' arrivals (by letter, telephone--convention coordinators, etc.
).
Holiday/Special Event Activities:
Plan, promote and implement activities for all holidays; create new special events.
Performs all other duties as required.
Qualifications:
3-5 years experience managing Sports and Water recreational operations and/or facilities.
College graduate with a degree in Recreation or Leisure Activities or have equivalent experience.
Education must include at least two years of English language and two years of mathematics.
Must have excellent English oral and written communication skills and be able to establish a rapport with our guests, their children, club and staff members.
The ability to speak a foreign language will be considered to be a definite plus such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, Italian or Portuguese preferred.
Strong computer skills required, working knowledge of computers, internet, and the ability to navigate within a variety of software packages such as Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills requiredSkilled in conflict resolutionHigh energyCurrent Lifeguard Certification with American Red Cross or a similar certifying organization.
Current CPR Certification and life saving certification from the American Red Cross or similar certifying organization a plus.
Must be able to learn, adapt, and work in a fast paced environmentRequired to work weekends, holidays, day and evening shiftsWORKING CONDITIONS:
The majority of your working hours will be completed outside in varying temperatures and conditions including high heat and rain.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should be in excellent physical condition, capable of bending, kneeling, climbing and easily lifting 50lbs.
